Front Office Duty Manager

The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart is a unique combination of Modern Contemporary, Art Deco, and Heritage architecture. We are seeking a skilled Duty Manager to join our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences while undertaking administrative and communication duties.
Key Responsibilities- Process guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests, secure payment, and activate/reissue room keys.
- Provide consistent outstanding guest service in every interaction.
- Supervise and manage employees, manage day-to-day operations, and understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensure employees do the same within the team.
- Review financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement.
- Assist in responding to and resolving guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
- Monitor chargebacks and rebates, handle complaints, and resolve grievances and conflicts.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with all departments to support property operations and goals.
- Previous experience as a Front Office Duty Manager.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Thorough follow-up, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to emotionally connect with guests and provide superior levels of service.
- Conflict resolution experience.
- Flexibility to work on a 24-hour rotating roster, including public holidays and weekends.
- Experience with OPERA property management system a distinct advantage.
- Full working rights for Australia.
