Residential Care Team Leader

**About the Role:**
The Assistant House Supervisor is a critical position within the Out of Home Care Program at MacKillop Family Services. In the absence of the House Supervisor or when on-site supervision is required, the Assistant House Supervisor oversees the daily care of young people residing in our residential care homes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and lead a team of residential care workers to ensure the provision of high-quality care and support to young people.
- Develop and implement behavioral management programs to address challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator to ensure seamless program delivery and achieve program objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to residential care workers to enhance their skills and confidence in providing therapeutic care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and program standards.
**Requirements:**
- Relevant diploma with substantial experience in residential care, including completion of four additional mandatory competencies (top-up units).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and support a team of residential care workers.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
- Valid and current driver's license, satisfactory criminal history check, valid employee working with children check, and NDIS workers screening check (for risk-assessed/client-facing roles).
