About the Role:

As a Care Leader, you will provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents and families, considering cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
  • Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management.
  • Support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
  • Analyze risk, implement strategies, and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
  • Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with Registered Nurses.

About You:

You are passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a difference in the lives of our residents.

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an EEN in residential aged care.
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support is desired.
  • Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Available and committed to work in our facility.

Essential Requirements:

  • A current Working With Children Check card.
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance.
