Reservations Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Reservations Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take on a leadership position in our reservations department.

The Reservations Team Leader will be responsible for driving team engagement, developing the team, and ensuring new colleagues are equipped to do their role. They will also be responsible for all group reservations activities, including assisting with inquiries and bookings, liaising with key departments, establishing strong relationships with our clients, and displaying exceptional phone and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Reservations Manager in the efficient day-to-day operation of the Reservations Department.
  • Optimize hotel occupancy and average rate, and support the team to reach peak performance.
  • Ensure customer service is of the highest possible standard by the team; that product standards are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Completion of high school (year twelve)
  • Hotel Management tertiary qualifications desirable
  • Written and Oral Communication skills - ability to develop rapport within a short time frame
  • Basic Numerical Acumen
  • Neat Personal Presentation
  • Previous experience with Opera, Microsoft Word/Excel and Holidex Plus desirable. Ability to adopt new programs readily and quickly.
