About the role:

Working in our Reserve Maintenance Team, we are looking for a dedicated and team-oriented individual. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient upkeep of Council parks and landscapes, ensuring they meet high standards for the community to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general parks and landscape maintenance, including grass cutting, weed eradication, tree pruning, tree planting, and litter removal.
  • Operate machinery and equipment such as ride-on mowers and tractors safely and efficiently.
  • Drive a medium truck or utility vehicle as required for maintenance duties.
  • Maintain all equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
  • Assist in other departments or teams as necessary to support Council services.
  • Follow safe work practices and ensure tasks meet required service standards.
  • Set up temporary signage in accordance with Work Zone Traffic Management Standards.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Current Driver's License.
  • Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
  • Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate.
