Wildlife Care Professional Job Opportunity

The Wildlife Attendant plays a vital role in caring for and maintaining our native Australian wildlife collection at one of the largest native wildlife parks in South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily food preparation and cleaning
  • General animal husbandry
  • Accurate record keeping

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with Australian wildlife
  • Well-developed communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • High level of physical fitness

Animal husbandry qualifications or study towards a zoo keeping certificate are highly regarded. Experience with animal handling and knowledge of Australian native fauna is essential, along with a current manual driver's license.

This physically demanding role involves animal husbandry tasks and manual handling, requiring a high level of energy and physical fitness.

  • A strong passion for animal welfare
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team

Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster is required, including weekends.
