Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wildlife Education Officer to deliver engaging and educational experiences for local and international visitors.

  • Present interactive programs on native Australian wildlife, focusing on effective communication and public speaking skills.
  • Conduct animal handling and husbandry duties as part of daily operations, ensuring the welfare and safety of animals.
  • Record keeping and report writing to support conservation efforts and inform future program development.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Four years' experience with animal handling, conditioning, and knowledge of Australian native fauna.
  • A Certificate III in Captive Animal Management or related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in animal care and management.
  • A current manual driver's license, enabling travel between park locations.
  • An outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse audiences.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position available across a 7-day roster, including weekends.
  • The role involves physically demanding tasks and manual handling, requiring a high level of energy and physical fitness.
