Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced IT Risk Governance Specialist to join our team on a 9-month contract. This critical leadership role is responsible for proactively managing IT risk, governance frameworks, and change initiatives across existing systems, outsourced services, and project portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage IT risks from the enterprise risk register, ensuring alignment with architectural and operational priorities.
  • Establish practical remediation strategies for architecture, security, and service quality risks.
  • Work with the IT Project Manager to implement governance controls and transparent reporting for all projects.
  • Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on project progress, risks, and delivery gaps.
  • Support and coach IT teams in improving risk ownership and delivery outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in risk and issue management.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in IT management with strong governance and risk leadership.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and project oversight.
  • Deep understanding of IT architecture, security, and service delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching capabilities.
  • Ability to address procedural gaps with a pragmatic and effective approach.
