We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Risk Management Specialist to support our risk management framework. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on compliance, with experience in regulatory adherence and effective execution of risk management strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess industry knowledge and experience in a General Insurance environment, with exposure to various regulatory frameworks and requirements. They will be able to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, deliver high-quality reports, and maintain a commitment to continuous learning in Compliance and Risk.
The role involves monitoring compliance across business and risk domains, reviewing obligation alerts, and supporting mandatory reporting to ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also track and assess regulatory updates, engage stakeholders, and implement changes effectively.
Key accountabilities include:
- Regulatory Oversight: Monitor compliance across business and risk domains, review obligation alerts, and support mandatory reporting.

- Financial Accountability Support: Provide ongoing oversight and guidance under the APRA FAR Advisor role.
- Risk Appetite & Indicators Management: Maintain and update Risk Appetite Statements and supporting measures.
- Risk Mitigation & Control Remediation: Support development of mitigation strategies for critical risks and assist in remediating ineffective key controls.
- Policy Governance: Support updates to Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Training & Awareness: Maintain compliance training modules and support staff education to strengthen risk awareness and compliance understanding.
- Business Project Support: Advise on compliance in strategic initiatives and contribute to risk culture and regulatory reform programs.
- Board & Management Reporting / Incident Management: Deliver Risk and Compliance reports to senior forums and support incident investigations.
