This national civil contracting business is a major force in Australia's civil construction sector, specializing in the construction of transport infrastructure, including road projects for state road authorities.
About the RoleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the project delivery team and be based out of the Perth CBD office, traveling to site regularly to stay on top of the project. You will have flexibility to manage your own site travel and presence around the 2/1 FIFO roster, but it will be essential to maintain a strong site presence to manage the client and team's motivation and performance.
You will work closely with the company's senior management team to plan and execute this MRWA project in Western Australia's Pilbara region. This is a senior-level position requiring a seasoned project manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with excellent financial management and cost reporting skills, and strong commercial and contractual acumen.
You must possess excellent all-round communication skills to lead and mentor your team, but also foster a strong working relationship with client representatives. A superb salary of CIRCA $250-260K Base plus Super (& uplift for days on site) will be offered to you if you are the successful applicant for this terrific role.
Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements- Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' post-graduate civil industry experience
- Proven success as a Project Manager on Australian road/pavement construction projects for civil contractors
- Thorough working knowledge of AS2124 Contracts standards
- Experience on MRWA or other Australian state road authority projects will be highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen in order to interpret project financial statements and implement strategies to promote profitability and positive cashflow
- Excellent leadership and mentoring capability and great all-round communication skills
- Ability to undertake regular site travel essential
- Perth/WA based currently, with existing rights to live and work in Australia
- Able to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
