Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Temporary Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Assembly: Undertake the preparation and assembly/dismantling of materials for displays/promotions associated with Region activities.
  • Administration Tasks: Undertake basic administration tasks including processing contractor inductions plus entering and closing out work requests on a as needs basis.
  • Furniture and Equipment Management: Assist in the provision, moving, setting up and arrangement of furniture and other items required for the effective delivery of courses, training and administration.
  • Movement and Delivery: Assist in the movement, relocation, collection and/or delivery (as required) to locations within the Region, of equipment, goods and other items necessary for its effective operation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities associated with tasks undertaken in the performance of daily duties.
  • Support Services: Provide assistance to Region staff in emergent situations by undertaking duties to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
Key Requirements
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Organisational Skills. Ability to plan and organise the successful completion of tasks within regular workload requirements.
  • Basic Administration Labouring Skills. Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of simple tasks involving basic administration, labouring, minor maintenance, minor workplace upkeep, grounds care skills and of stores pick up and delivery practices.
  • Health and Safety. Basic understanding of occupational health and safety, quality assurance, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination practices and behavior as applied in a working environment.
  • Dynamic Attitude. Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
