Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

The role of the Community Engagement Coordinator is to develop and implement strategies for engaging with volunteers who are vital to our mission of fostering social connection and community cohesion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including advertising, interviewing, screening and training.
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers through check-ins and ongoing engagement.
  • Deliver volunteer inductions and training sessions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective engagement and communication.
  • Assist volunteer supervisors with local engagement and provide guidance on policies and procedures as needed.
  • Develop partnerships with local referral pathways (e.g., councils, schools) to promote recruitment.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all volunteering activities and keep documentation up to date.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records in a database system.
  • Efficiently manage all administrative tasks related to volunteer management.
  • Attend sites regularly to engage with volunteers and staff.
  • Communicate with the team to support continuous improvement and participate in broader activities as required.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised and skilled at recruitment and onboarding, with a focus on volunteer engagement. They will have strong administrative, IT, and reporting skills, and a reliable vehicle is essential for this role.
