Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional volunteer management and supporting the delivery of People and Culture services.

About the Role:

  • You will serve as a frontline provider of quality volunteer management and support the delivery of People and Culture services, ensuring alignment with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and legislative requirements.
  • You will provide timely, accurate and informed advice to leaders, employees and volunteers, assisting people managers and volunteers in understanding obligations and responsibilities regarding volunteer management.
  • You will provide data, prepare reports and contribute to policy, procedures, processes and systems across the People and Culture Support Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a frontline provider of quality volunteer management and support the delivery of People and Culture services.
  2. Inform, coordinate and administer services across the employee and volunteer life cycle.
  3. Ensure alignment with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and legislative requirements.
  4. Provide timely, accurate and informed advice to leaders, employees and volunteers.
  5. Assist people managers and volunteers in understanding obligations and responsibilities regarding volunteer management.
  6. Provide data, prepare reports and contribute to policy, procedures, processes and systems across the People and Culture Support Centre.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and workplace experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in volunteer management practices and service delivery, including onboarding, offboarding, cross-boarding, learning, performance and OHS.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a customer service focus and ability to present to a diverse audience.
  • Highly developed organisational skills including prioritising workloads, managing multiple deadlines and undertaking administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex, new and existing problems.
