The Walter Taylor Ward Office is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ward Officer to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our residents and wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to residents, responding to diverse requests and resolving issues in a fair and sensitive manner.
  • Provide administrative support to the Ward Office, including diary management, document organization, and budget monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings and events, and contribute to a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Council officers and external stakeholders, communicating effectively through various channels.
  • Conduct research, write reports, and handle sensitive information in accordance with Council policy.
  • Utilize social media channels and photo editing software to enhance the Ward Office's online presence.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve agreed performance standards.
Requirements
  • Proven customer service experience with a strong focus on outcomes and resolving diverse customer requests.
  • Excellent administrative and secretarial skills, including experience with customer database systems and diary management.
  • Strong organization skills, including budget monitoring and document organization.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of customers and Council officers.
  • Experience in research, writing reports, and handling sensitive information in line with Council policy.
  • Knowledge of social media channels and photo editing software.
