Job Summary

This role involves working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who are collaborative, supportive, and fun. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be provided with all the tools, support, and training to set you up for success in your career.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage caseloads, including those supported by Rehabilitation Assistants, to ensure effective case management outcomes
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes for injured workers
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Work across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third-party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Assist individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes
  • Conduct assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation would be highly regarded
  • Fabulous communication skills, as well as compassion, kindness, empathy, and developed time management skills
  • A current QLD Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
