Rehabilitation Consultant Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with illnesses, disabilities, or injuries to achieve their goals and live life to its fullest potential.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide psychological or physical supports tailored to each client's unique needs.

You will alleviate administrative tasks through case management with support from rehabilitation assistants, applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes.

Develop injury prevention and workplace education programs working with employers and employees, collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals.

Conduct vocational assessments and injury prevention services across various schemes such as workers compensation, third-party, life insurance, and others.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling are required. Acceptance of applications with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) is also considered with support for ASORC membership and supervision.

  • Current General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership is necessary.
  • Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, and compassion are essential.
  • Strong time management skills are required.
  • A current QLD Driver's License and access to own car with insurance are necessary.
