Senior Crisis Support Practitioner

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to fill the role of Family Violence Specialist. This position will involve providing critical after-hours support to victim survivors of family violence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outreach crisis response and support to individuals in crisis accommodation, as well as assessing and responding to crises in our refuges and residential units.
- Establish effective relationships with victim survivors.
- Provide crisis support and case management services.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of risks, needs, and circumstances of victim survivors.
- Receive and prioritize after-hours referrals from various sources.
- Facilitate placements in emergency accommodation when necessary.
- Develop comprehensive safety plans.
- Offer information, material aid, counseling, emotional support, and referrals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and referring organizations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Key qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work (essential).
- Experience in the family violence sector (desirable).
- Knowledge of specialist family violence work (highly desirable).
- Strong case management skills.
- Excellent time management and autonomy.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including data management.
Required qualifications include:
- Relevant child protection checks.
- Full driver's license.
