Civil Roads Inspector Job Description

We are seeking experienced Civil Roads Inspectors to join our team in Brisbane and greater QLD region. The successful candidates will have a strong understanding of Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications to inspect Asphalt roadworks and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Prepare written documents, including daily diaries, submissions, reports, and test results.
  • Communicate with Contractors, Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers, and Principals Representatives to ensure progress and quality of works.
  • Provide effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during construction, including photos.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years' practical experience as a labourer, foreman, or Supervisor and at least 1-2 years as a Civil Roads Inspector/Surveillance Officer on Civil Roads Infrastructure Construction Projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of TMR policies, procedures, and standards, or equivalent experience with Australian Road Authorities.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email.
  • Demonstrable skills in diarising or reporting software, with a driver's license and access to own transport.
