Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Development Team Leader to lead our team in Canberra.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in urban development and will be responsible for directing the day-to-day allocation of resources, identifying priorities, and organizing tasks accordingly.

About the Role

The Urban Development Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Directing the day-to-day allocation of resources across the discipline to meet project requirements
  • Leading the effective planning and management of significant projects across the Discipline
  • Managing work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements
  • Managing effective and efficient project delivery and quality, including meeting deadlines and commitments
  • Developing business opportunities and overseeing bid management processes in the ACT region and surrounds
  • Coordinating resource sharing between other teams within the sector
  • Managing, training, and mentoring staff
  • Fostering and promoting a diverse and inclusive team culture where employees feel they belong
  • Promoting good team morale by building a positive work environment

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in the Urban Development sector
  • CPEng status is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong relationships in the Urban Development sector
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and leadership ability
  • Demonstrated experience in managing an individual team is desirable
