Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and laws related to import/export activities.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to execute import and export activities, trade compliance plans, and logistics initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute import and export activities according to client requirements, regulatory compliance, and company standards.
  • Develop and implement trade compliance plans for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to import/export activities, including customs clearance, licenses, and permits.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify areas for process improvements and implement changes as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate English language proficiency and excellent communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of clinical supply chain processes, including manufacturing, handling, importing, shipping, exporting, auditing, labeling, and packaging.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
