Lead Safety and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to lead our safety, health, environment, and quality initiatives. This role will be based in Adelaide and work closely with operational and support teams to drive compliance, foster continuous improvement, and strengthen a culture of safety across metropolitan and regional sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to site teams and subcontractors on safe working practices.
  • Conduct regular audits, investigate incidents, and deliver actionable insights to improve safety outcomes.
  • Champion a safe working culture through active engagement and education.
  • Collaborate with our Injury Management team to optimize return-to-work processes.
  • Analyse safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the contract and our safety network.
About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS/SHEQ or related field.
  • ICAM accreditation and Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and certified management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel intrastate and interstate as required.
