The Department for Energy and Mining is seeking a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Officer Team Leader to lead the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR). This critical leadership position requires managing a team responsible for ensuring legislative compliance and operational excellence in electrical safety across South Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Regulatory Compliance Officers, overseeing the administration of electrical installation and product safety functions.
  • Compliance Standards: Play a key role in upholding compliance standards, exercising initiative and sound judgement to ensure data integrity.
  • Work Management: Monitor and manage own work output, supervising staff to ensure consistency and maximum efficiency.
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative support, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
Requirements
  • Senior-Level Experience: Senior-level experience in a regulatory compliance environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and investigative skills with sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to consult, negotiate, and manage conflict diplomatically.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and database products, with solid experience in report writing, minute-taking, and document preparation.
