Senior Safety and Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety and Compliance Manager to lead our safety initiatives across metropolitan and regional sites.

The role involves collaborating with operational teams to drive compliance and foster a culture of safety through proactive engagement and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Safety Strategy: Develop and implement effective safety strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Offer training and guidance to site teams and subcontractors on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Audit and Investigation: Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions.
  • Culture Champion: Promote a safe working culture through active engagement and education.
  • Injury Management: Collaborate with our health and injury management team to develop return-to-work plans and manage worker rehabilitation.
  • Safety Data Analysis: Analyze safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements to safety outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • ICAM accreditation.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
