Restaurant Operations Manager

The Fairmont hotel in Melbourne seeks an experienced professional to manage restaurant operations and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, exceeding guest expectations, and maintaining effective cost controls.
- Supervise, train, and develop Ambassadors to uphold high service standards and procedures.
- Contribute to onboarding, orientation, and induction of new Ambassadors, collaborating with management.
- Optimise revenue opportunities through yield and seating management.
- Be present on the floor during service periods, providing direct support to team members and responding to guest needs.
- Handle guest enquiries, requests, and feedback promptly, escalating concerns to the Restaurant Manager as needed.
- Promote a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration across the restaurant.
- Minimum 2-3 years supervisory or managerial experience, managing larger teams.
- Good understanding of local and international wines.
- Full availability across 7 days, AM and PM.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Australian working rights required, no sponsorship available.
