Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate assurance reviews, providing insight, oversight, and challenge of risk management in large-scale projects and transformation initiatives.

The primary focus will be on UNITE, a multi-billion technology simplification program. As an Executive Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing the execution of Assurance reviews to ensure effective governance and quality of change execution risk within the UNITE Program (delivery and delivered risks)
  • Delivering assurance opinions on the effectiveness of risk management practices (including control effectiveness) in managing associated risks, ensuring alignment with the 2nd Line Assurance Standard
  • Partnering and collaborating with senior stakeholders, including Divisional 2LOD teams and the UNITE Program to ensure both delivery and delivered risks are effectively managed
  • Collaborating with 2nd Line Divisional CRO teams and Group Audit to identify thematic opportunities and focus areas in coordinated assurance planning activities
  • Producing and presenting reporting of key insights to divisional risk committees, program governance forums, and program steering committees
  • Leading, developing, and building a high-performing team which provides forward-looking insights on key risks to Divisional CROs, Senior Management, and Executive Management Teams

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional who has a proven track record in technology risk, transformation, governance, internal audit, or similar assurance roles. You should have strong influencing, relationship-building, and data-driven insights skills, as well as be proactive, outcomes-driven, and possess a strong customer focus.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in overseeing technology risk, project governance, risk management, and compliance in large-scale complex transformation projects
  • Strong and practical understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) and experience with project software and tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience with producing and presenting insightful reporting to risk committees, governance forums, and program steering committee
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
