Senior Advisor - Indigenous Partnerships
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that support the Reframing the Relationship plan. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and advice to coordinate cross-departmental efforts, develop written submissions, and collaborate with external partners to deliver high-quality advice and support to senior executives.
Mandatory Requirements:- A genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles is that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person, as per Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991.
- Verification of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Island heritage may be required from applicants.
- Well-developed policy experience;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Understanding of cabinet and government processes;
- Ability to manage and lead a small team.
- Applicants must provide a two-page response addressing the Selection Criteria;
- A resume (no more than four pages) and two referees, including a current manager/supervisor/team leader and an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander referee.
