Senior Liability Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Senior Liability Underwriter to join our team at Allianz Popular SL. as a key member of our Commercial division.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite Complex Liability Risks: Take technical ownership of complex liability tailored lines renewals and new business opportunities, ensuring adherence to the highest technical underwriting standards.
- Manage Workflows: Manage workflows to ensure delivery of quality services and products, including renewals, endorsements, and new business.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Manage relationships with brokers and other stakeholders, focusing on underwriting liability insurance within delegated authority limits.
- Drive Business Growth: Ensure business offerings align with divisional objectives, portfolio balance, and cycle management strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and profit.
- Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Keep abreast of market conditions and trends, maintaining a market presence in the region and line of business community within Allianz.
- Lead and Coach Team Members: Lead and coach team members to develop capability, build high-performing teams, and foster a collaborative and engaged work environment.
- Experience in Liability Underwriting: Solid experience in underwriting liability risk, with a sound understanding of account and reinsurance structures.
- Broker Relationships: A profile within the VIC/TAS broking communities and a reputation for providing a high quality of service.
- Analytical and Critical Thinking: Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret data, identify patterns, and inform judgments and solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
