We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Liability Claims Leader to join our team at Ensure Recruitment. As a Senior Liability Claims Leader, you will be responsible for managing liability claims, working with technical and complex claims, and supporting team members in their development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage liability claims from inception to resolution, ensuring effective claims management strategies are followed.
- Work with technical and complex claims, some of which may be litigated, and develop strategies to resolve disputes and escalations.
- Support team members in their development, guiding them through the claims process and providing guidance on claims strategy.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including insureds, brokers, underwriters, and claimants, to ensure effective communication and resolution.
- Manage providers, such as loss adjusters and legal experts, to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims.
- Review and authorize claims payments for team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Set loss reserves, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Solid claims management experience, preferably in complex personal injury and property liability.
- Experience in managing technical, litigated liability claims.
- A law degree is highly regarded for this role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in supporting others with complex claims, guiding them through the process and claims strategy.
- A calm approach, being able to work under pressure, making informed decisions.
