**Electrical Design Leader**

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer to spearhead high-quality electrical engineering designs across industrial and infrastructure projects. This key role will involve technical oversight, team coordination, and client engagement, ensuring all designs meet performance, compliance, and safety requirements.

This position requires the ability to lead the development of electrical designs, including power distribution, motor control, protection systems, and lighting for industrial and commercial installations.

The successful candidate will oversee preparation of detailed drawings, schematics, cable schedules, and documentation using electrical CAD software.

A strong understanding of LV and HV electrical systems, equipment specifications, and design practices is essential.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills who can manage design deliverables across multiple projects and meet deadlines.

An Australian working rights - Citizen / PR or Eligible Visa holder is required as well as Charterled Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ / RPEV).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in mining, oil & gas, utilities, or heavy industry sectors;
  • Strong knowledge of LV and HV electrical systems, equipment specifications, and design practices;
  • Proficient in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP or PowerTools;
  • Solid understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 61439, and other relevant standards;
