Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Safety and Emergency Response Professional. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members, as well as maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating sustainable systems to manage emergency response capabilities and associated activities effectively. This includes conducting audits, carrying out rectification work on existing and new installations, and scheduling and coordinating emergency response training and exercises.

In this role, you will also be responsible for building and developing stakeholder relationships to ensure integration of appropriate emergency services standards. Additionally, you will ensure adequate numbers of competent Mines Rescue Team Members are available to the site.

We are looking for someone with a Certificate IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket) or similar qualification. A comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards is essential. You will also need to have demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.

A proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment is required, along with the ability to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site. Excellent attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
