Job Summary

This role requires an individual to develop and implement sustainable systems for managing emergency response capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate sustainable systems for managing emergency response capability and associated activities.
  • Conduct audits and rectify existing and new installations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain emergency response equipment through regular inspection and upkeep.
  • Schedule and coordinate emergency response training and exercises.
  • Foster stakeholder relationships to integrate appropriate emergency services standards.
About You
  • A Certificate IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket) is desirable.
  • You should have a comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture is essential.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment is required.
  • Ability to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site is necessary.
  • Attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills are essential.
