Financial Partner Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Accountant/Finance Controller to join our Editorial business as a strategic finance partner.

This is an opportunity to use your financial expertise to directly support the creation of high-quality journalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key financial advisor to editorial leaders, providing clear and actionable insights.
  • Manage the entire Editorial cost base, with a focus on staff and content-related expenses.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Required Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and communicate complex financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
  • Experience in managing staff costs and using systems such as D365, TM1, SAP, or Tableau is ideal.
