Finance Business Manager Job Description

This role involves working closely with senior business leaders to support the day-to-day management of the business. You will provide analysis and insights to inform business decisions, focusing on delivering high-quality financial performance reports and strategic recommendations.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of finance processes and systems, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in process improvement and driving change in a fast-paced environment is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical and financial support to Senior Business Leaders / Financial Controller for finance processes / functions through insightful, strategic reporting.
  • Management Accounting: responsible for timely and accurate completion of allocated finance functions for month end, forecasting and budgeting. Delivering regular financial performance reports to senior management, providing clear insights.
  • Financial Modelling: responsible for preparing and analysing financial modelling for budget/ planning within the finance department and for related stakeholders.
  • Process improvement: critically assess workflows and drive efficiencies/ process improvements.
  • Staff management: mentors, guides and engages reporting team member/s to help them achieve their own responsibilities, creating a high performing team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • CA / CPA Qualified with minimum 3 years post qualified experience
  • 5+ years experience in finance business partnering
  • Exceptional business partnering skills, with the ability to influence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy and strong excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to explain concepts to non-financial stakeholders and build relationships
  • Experience in process improvement and driving change in a fast-paced environment
