Strategic National Operations Director

Dignity, a leading charity focused on empowering people and preventing homelessness, is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as the General Manager – National Operations.
About the RoleThis pivotal position will play a crucial role in driving organisational growth, strategically leading the development and implementation of Dignity's business plan for housing models, distribution, and business services. The successful candidate will lead and support the Housing, Business Services, and Distribution management team in achieving operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-performance teams through proactive coaching, development, and engagement initiatives aligned with Dignity's core values.
- Contribute to financial planning, budget management, and analysis of national operations to meet strategic financial objectives.
- Work in partnership with the senior leadership team to support contract negotiations and tender submissions.
- Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging issues and develop programs to advance services.
- Develop new and existing relationships with government and non-government agencies to increase collaborative opportunities within NSW and other states/territories.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior experience in people leadership, preferably in the government or community/social services sector.
- A deep understanding of service industry requirements supporting those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Established relationships within this field would be advantageous.
- Tertiary education or demonstrable senior experience in a related field/sector.
- Highly developed written and oral communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to advocate on behalf of others.
Dignity offers a competitive salary of $AUD 120,000 per annum, plus benefits including company car or car allowance, hybrid working arrangements, and professional development opportunities.
