Senior Clinical Practitioner Role

Nursing professionals with advanced skills and qualifications are sought after to provide high-quality clinical care in Residential Aged Care Facilities.

About The Position

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise, knowledge, and capacity to deliver evidence-based emergent care for residents in RACFs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to residents in line with professional scope and qualifications.
  • Apply specialist knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory in geriatric nursing; participate in the delivery of clinical care.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM; CONTRIBUTE TO THE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF OTHERS.
  • Educate, inform, counsel and support patients and families with up-to-date clinical information relevant to patient care and understanding.
  • Engage with quality improvement frameworks and nursing research to contribute to quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
Essential Requirements
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA and a current annual practising certificate.
  • Ability to meet credentialing requirements of the health service.
  • Vaccination against certain vaccine preventable diseases as outlined in Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
