Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional to join our team as a Functional Assessor. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to work in a dynamic environment, utilising their expertise to support claimants.

Job Summary:

As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting interviews with claimants to understand their challenges and assessing their ability to perform everyday activities. You will play a vital role in creating accurate and concise reports that inform decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse information critically to create detailed and well-structured reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence to inform assessments.
  • Maintain high professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide excellent customer service to claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Demonstrable broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
Clinical Requirements:
  • Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only), Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
  • Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OTs (COT).
  • Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
