Are you a skilled communicator looking for a challenging role? We are seeking a Communications Officer to support the delivery of infrastructure projects based in the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will provide correspondence and communication support to program managers and teams across the region, ensuring clear, concise, and consistent responses to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and prepare briefing notes and correspondence to inform stakeholder engagement.
  • Respond to media inquiries related to the region and develop draft media statements.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Experience dealing with difficult stakeholders and managing critical conversations.
  • Current driver's license and access to a vehicle for site visits and meetings.
  • Ability to undergo employment screening, including criminal history checks.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in strategic communication or community engagement, especially related to infrastructure projects in transport or civil engineering sectors.

This is a 6-month full-time position based in Nerang, with potential for extension. The successful candidate will be required to provide a current driver's license and access to a vehicle for site visits and meetings.
