About the Role

As a seasoned road infrastructure project manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning and delivery of rehabilitation, maintenance, and safety improvement works across various regions. This senior position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects from design through to delivery.
  • Act as the primary representative on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration processes.
  • Provide high-level technical and engineering advice to ensure project success, value for money, and adherence to relevant standards.
  • Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement project documentation and ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
  • B Foster effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and the community.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, including supervision in line with RPEQ requirements.
  • Promote safety and sustainability across all project phases.
The Ideal Candidate

You are a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with extensive experience managing road infrastructure projects. You possess excellent problem-solving skills, are highly organized, and have a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Your Key Strengths
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of road infrastructure projects, particularly in urban and high-speed road environments.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and tender evaluation methodologies.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, manage expectations, and address public inquiries.
  • Solid knowledge of project governance, safety protocols, and relevant legislation and standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Current Class C driver's license.
  • White Card (Construction Industry Induction).
  • Provision of suitable PPE.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
