Job Overview

This permanent full-time position within our People and Safety team involves providing expert strategic and technical advice on industrial relations and award interpretation to support the organization's objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing authoritative guidance on grievance management, workplace change, and industrial relations, including the interpretation of relevant awards and legislation.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders during industrial relations matters.
  • Offering guidance and support to the Payroll Team regarding legislative and award interpretation.
  • Contributing system-focused technical expertise and recommendations to enhance the delivery of high-level Human Resource services and drive continuous business improvement.
  • Collaborating with the People and Safety team to refine work processes related to performance management across the organization.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must possess relevant qualifications and significant practical experience in industrial relations and grievance management, preferably within local government or a regulatory environment. Previous experience in managing industrial relations processes and high-level negotiating skills are essential.
