Job Title: Automation Expert

  • A fixed term contract role is available for a senior control systems engineer to work in Adelaide or on-site.

We seek an experienced automation engineer with strong technical expertise in water, mining, and gas infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing process control systems for mining, water, and gas infrastructure projects. Experience in SCADA design and implementation skills particularly for GeoSCADA, CitectSCADA, FT View, OpenEnterprise, and others is essential.

Strong capability with PLC and RTU platforms (i.e., Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Emerson) is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, VB, and VBS is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to apply industrial internet/Industry 4.0 to leverage the power of smart machines and real-time analytics.

Non-mandatory skills for senior engineers include knowledge in MES System design and implementation skills particularly for AMPLA, Historian (Pi), and Model Predictive Control (MPC) design and implementation (i.e., Rockwell Automation or similar).
