Project Coordinator Role

The Office for Early Childhood Development aims to build a comprehensive system that supports the early childhood development of South Australian children, ensuring they receive a strong foundation for their future. This involves creating a holistic, connected system across the state to reduce the number of children entering school developmentally vulnerable.

Key to this initiative is the implementation of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026, providing every child with access to two years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before attending school.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and reports to facilitate the effective delivery of a new digital project.
  • Monitor progress against scope, timelines, and milestones, informing executives of any issues or opportunities.
  • Establish positive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and support on complex project duties.
  • Coordinate committees through meeting organization, agenda setup, and materials preparation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in contemporary and agile project management processes, supported by strong communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency in project management reporting tools and creating comprehensive reports is essential.
  • To be successful, you must bring proven experience coordinating complex IT and/or digital projects, along with significant knowledge of contemporary and agile project management processes.
