Job Overview
This role is ideal for a skilled legal professional who can provide strategic advice and support across various areas, including ICT, digital, and commercial. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other lawyers to deliver high-quality services and achieve project goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist legal advice on ICT, digital, and commercial matters.
  • Support commercial negotiations to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft documents and agreements related to software acquisition, product development, and intellectual property.
  • Interpret complex legal issues and prepare documentation to address statutory, ethical, and probity obligations.

About the Role
The DCS Legal team supports a range of portfolio business clients, including government agencies and digital service providers. Projects involve working on whole-of-government contracts, digital identity, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence frameworks.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Admission as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW and eligibility to hold a current practising certificate.
  • Proven stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent, and minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience.
