We are seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our team in Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and provide strategic legal advice across diverse areas, including ICT and digital strategies, cloud service delivery, cyber security, government platforms, digital transformation initiatives, artificial intelligence, and data and information access.
The ideal candidate will be an admitted legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales with a minimum of 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience in areas such as Digital and Technology law, Corporate and Commercial law, Intellectual Property (IP) law, or Privacy law. They will also possess strong analytical ability, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal capabilities.
This is an ongoing opportunity that offers a competitive salary range of $113,574 - $125,720+ super & leave loading, commensurate with experience. Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, pragmatic, focused, and accountable specialist legal advice and services across a range of ICT, digital, and commercial areas.
- Support commercial negotiations to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and successful delivery of outcomes for projects.
- Draft a range of documents and agreements, including software acquisition/licensing, product development, and intellectual property in information technology, digital transformation, and cloud service delivery.
Requirements:
- Admitted legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience in Digital and Technology law, Corporate and Commercial law, Intellectual Property (IP) law, or Privacy law.
- Strong analytical ability, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal capabilities.
