Job DescriptionArea Manager Role

The Area Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering the growth and optimization of FLSmidth's Site and Mining Service Sales within the Australian market. This position offers an engaging mix of sales, strategic consulting, project collaboration, and domestic travel.

  • Manage and build customer relationships to establish long-term profitable relationships within the assigned region.
  • Identify and develop an understanding of key competitors and their offerings to provide market intelligence.
  • Assist the proposal team with technical input to provide accurate and timely quotations.
  • Stay informed about market trends to conduct assessments of long-term market trends.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategies, regional sales plans, budget, and sales activities to achieve short and long-term sales goals.
  • Manage financials within the assigned region, including achieving budget and developing maximum potential profitable volume from all markets.
RequirementsKey Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in managing a geographic sales region or organizational department preferably within the mining/mining services industry.
  • Sales background with demonstrable customer-relationship building and selling/marketing skills and techniques.
  • Exposure or knowledge of mining or mineral processing and equipment, as well as FLSmidth products.
  • A thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
