Job Title: Needle And Syringe Program Worker

The role of the Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) worker is to provide a vital service to individuals who use drugs. As part of our harm reduction program, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of clients. This position requires someone who is passionate about making a difference in their community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clean injecting equipment and consumables to clients
  • Offer education on safer drug use practices
  • Support clients with referrals to AOD, mental health, allied health, and other services
  • Contribute to the planning, evaluation, and development of NSP programs

Requirements:
  • A professional qualification in Cert IV AOD or 4 Core Competencies minimum
  • Experience in needle and syringe programs
  • Ability to provide evidence-based harm reduction interventions
  • Excellent knowledge of drugs, reducing harm, and related injuries and diseases
