As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will oversee drilling activities and personnel to ensure mine safety and production targets are achieved efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:- Oversight of drilling operations in accordance with planned strategies, directed by senior management.
- Management of all safety aspects related to drilling operations, ensuring a safe working environment through adherence to business processes and tools.
- Resource allocation and manning level management to guarantee sufficient quality and quantity of drilled stock is achieved safely.
- Maintenance of high-quality drill & blast patterns and associated equipment in a safe condition.
- Effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent quality outputs.
- Provision of ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports.
- Promotion of zero-harm policies and optimization of drilling techniques for improved performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensurance of suitable standards in work performed by drillers and drill technicians.
- Hold a valid C-Class Manual Driver's License and relevant tickets.
- Previous supervisory experience and ability to read and understand mine plans.
- Knowledge of WHS Act and WHS (Mines) Regulations, along with a strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
