Drilling Operations Supervisor

Work Location: Located 90 kilometres west of Tom Price in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Roster: 7D7N7R FIFO ex Perth or Busselton.

This role oversees drilling activities and personnel, ensuring mine safety and production targets are achieved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee drilling and associated activities in accordance with plans directed by the Drill Superintendent.
  • Manage all safety aspects of drilling operations, maintaining a safe work place using business processes and tools.
  • Manage shift resources and manning levels, ensuring sufficient quantity and quality of drilled stock is safely achieved.
  • Ensure drill patterns are kept to a high standard and equipment is maintained in a safe condition.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality outputs are achieved at all times.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to direct reports.
  • Drive drilling techniques and procedures that promote zero harm and improve performance and cost efficiencies.
  • Maintain and review of drill consumables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum C Class Manual Driver's Licence and relevant tickets.
  • Previous Supervisory experience and ability to read and understand mine plans.
  • Knowledge of WHS Act and Regulations, along with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Understanding of/ exposure to fleet management systems.
  • Previous experience with incident investigation and/or risk assessment processes will be highly regarded.
