Drill and Blast Supervisor Position

We are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Supervisor to lead our teams in meeting production plans and targets.

  • The successful candidate will utilise personnel and equipment to meet production goals, communicate drill and blast requirements at pre-start meetings, and coordinate work-crew responsibilities.
  • They will ensure all employees understand and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental working procedures, provide technical advice on Drill and Blast operations, and deliver training and guidance as required.
  • The role involves carrying out blast notifications and clearances, monitoring shift performance, and reporting any significant deviation from drilling and blasting plans to the Project Manager.
  • The Drill and Blast Supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring the transport of blasting materials is in accordance with statutory regulations and undertaking scheduled audits and inspections of magazine and facility.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must hold an unrestricted shotfirers ticket and have a proven track record of fostering safety in the workplace.
  • Extensive experience in open pit mining within a Nickel, Copper, Gold, Lithium or Iron ore background is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
