SUMMARY:

The Installer is accountable for the installation and maintenance of natural stone and tile products in upscale custom residential properties as well as commercial undertakings. The ideal candidate must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service excellence.

  • Position: Tile, marble and terrazzo setting contractor - Supervisor
  • Basic Salary: $35.00 per hour
  • Available positions: 3
  • Hours of Work: Minimum 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficient in tile setting; responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings.
  • Punctuality for scheduled appointments is essential.
  • Must represent the company professionally at all job sites.
  • Prepare surfaces before commencing work.
  • Utilize tools such as hammers, power drills, and hand tools to cut or break materials.
  • Install stone, tile, marble, and granite according to plans or shop drawings.
  • Construct walls, floors, countertops, partitions, and other related structures for both commercial and residential interiors and exteriors, adhering to industry standards.
  • Capable of field fabrication and repair of any chips, scratches, or defects in materials as necessary.
  • Attach and install countertops, drilling holes for fixtures as required.
  • Verify the integrity of new or existing substrates.
  • Ensure successful installation and completion of all projects, ensuring all joints are properly finished, all splashes are caulked, all holes are drilled, and all counters are cleaned and sealed.
  • Inspect the job site thoroughly before leaving, ensuring it is clean both inside and outside.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors on-site to coordinate and resolve installation issues.
  • Notify the Superintendent of any issues or delays at job sites and communicate any changes to the schedule.
  • Dedicate time to inventory management, maintaining communication, and completing necessary paperwork.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge and ownership of relevant tools, masonry techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Expertise in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of stone and tile structures and surfaces.
  • Detail-oriented with a comfort level in working with dimensions.
  • Effective communication skills with team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

DESIRED:

  • Seeking reliable installers with a proactive and helpful attitude towards customer service. Must be a team player focused on client satisfaction.
  • Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and flatbeds.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2-3 years of experience in stone and tile setting.
  • Comprehensive experience with measurements and installation of counters, flooring, wall, and ceiling tile and stone.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of installation and fabrication experience.

Education: Minimum high school graduate.
