JOB SUMMARY:


A skilled Tile, Marble and Terrazzo Setting Contractor - Supervisor is required to join Macropus Global’s installation team. This role will be responsible for the installation and repair of natural stone and tile products for high-end custom residential homes and commercial projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings with strong tile setting experience.
  • Arrive at scheduled appointments on time and represent the company professionally at job sites.
  • Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work and cuts or breaks materials using hammers, power drills, and/or hand tools.
  • Lays stone, tile, marble, granite, etc. following plans or shop drawings.
  • Installs walls, floors, countertops, partitions, and other related structures or surfaces for both Commercial and Residential Interior and Exterior, as per industry standards.
  • Fabricate in field and repair any chips, scratches or defects in materials as needed.
  • Attach and install countertops, drill holes for fixture as needed.
  • Verify integrity of new or existing substrates.
  • Ensure that all joints are properly done, all splashes are caulked, all holes are drilled, and all counters are cleaned and sealed.
  • Inspect that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned, both inside and outside, prior to leaving.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and inform Superintendent of all issues or delays occurring at job sites.
  • Stock inventory, maintain phone contacts, and complete assigned paperwork.

REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • Knowledge and ownership of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment and materials.
  • Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of stone and tile structures and surfaces.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with dimensions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 2 -3 years in stone and tile setting experience.
  • Minimum Highschool graduate.
